The point of connection usually between two nerve cells. Specifically, a synapse is a specialized junction at which a nerve cell (a neuron) communicates with a target cell.

The minute space between a nerve cell and another nerve cell, a muscle cell, etc., through which nerve impulses are transmitted from one to the other.

Gina Schreck started down the learning path back in 1995, with the Capt. (Kirk Schreck) when they launched their first training company, Pinnacle Achievement. After 10 years of providing seminars and classroom-style learning programs they started exploring ways to reach those virtual employees and teams that were spread across the globe. Their clients were asking for solutions to the problem of connecting and communicating with virtual employees and customers. That’s when they dove into the virtual and social worlds.

Fascinated by technology tools and all things geeky, Gina started taking the company down a geekier path…following shiny objects like iPads, apps and the vision of a mobile dependent world.

The rebranding or birth of Synapse 3di and their social media management company SynapseConnecting, took place in 2006. The mission became to help others connect to their world using the latest technology and social media tools.

Gina and the Synapse team keep regular content loaded up on our own Gettin’ Geeky Facebook Page and of course there is always fresh content here on our home page blog.

Gina regularly speaks at conferences and tweets like a madwoman, sharing tips to help you build your business and manage your brand. She and the Capt. have 4 children–2 grown, one half-baked in college, and only one Schreklet still on the ranch.

Mindy has a background in marketing, communications and we think, a secret degree in Private Investigation (Missed her calling to be Magnum’s side kick). She can find and connect our clients to those ideal influencers like none other! Her brain never rests and her creativity for our clients is incredible! There are 3 words to describe this married mom of 3…DY-NA-MO!

Taylor is a junior at Colorado State University and has grown up in the world of Social Media (Gina’s daughter).

Dwight (or D-White as we call him) is the profile and page WIZARD! He customizes the Facebook & Twitter pages, tweaks the blogs and websites, and maintains his sanity through the constant change requests we throw his way for our own website and social pages.

Marci & Sandy work tirelessly in the office to keep us all organized and they make sure we stay financially in order! From tracking down details needed for Gina’s speaking engagements, to cracking that whip to get her to turn in expense receipts, they are on top of it!
